Tim Walsh, principal of Williamstown Lawyers, a second generation lawyer, commenced practising law in 1972 after graduating as Bachelor of Laws from Melbourne University, built on a flying start with Matriculation First Class Honours in Latin and a Commonwealth Scholarship.
Tim has practised in sole practice and also as an associate and partner with several medium and larger commercial firms over 40+ years, gaining experience in banking and insurance litigation, equity and complex business and trust law and many other fields. Over many productive years Tim has gained a very wide and deep experience in commercial legal practice as well as constantly maintaining continuing personal development and ongoing specialist legal studies.
In 1996, Tim became accredited as a Business Law Specialist by the Law Institute of Victoria and maintains the annual strict accreditation requirements under the LIV Accreditation Scheme. In 1997 he became a Fellow of The Tax Institute of Australia recognizing his interest in practising in more depth in business law practice and with a “tax spin” for private business clients.
In 1996 Tim established the very efficient and successful boutique business and commercial law practice of Williamstown Lawyers as a small and dynamic legal practice to serve business and private clients based upon the proven principles of strong personal service and accessibility to clients, while maintaining the highest standards in delivering quality legal work without compromise, value and results to clients at a reasonable cost, often helping those client enquirers who cannot afford standard hourly costs and frequently, pro bono.
